a visit to rachel's suggestively titled blog has prompted me to take another stab at blogging. so here we go again, boys& girls. as y'all should know, i'm really really bad with technology & hence it's pretty much a given that i'll be totally hopeless with the whole prettifying-my-blog thing. bear with the ugly layout till i can con/sweet-talk/coerce/blackmail someone into fixing it for me. not an enviable task, that's for sure. ((:

am on the midnight shift at borders this week. shelving books in stuffy conditions through the wee hours of the morning while worrying that the little boy might make an appearance does not a happy time make. nonetheless, the others on the shift make it reasonably tolerable; fun even. it's amazing the lengths to which we'll go to make out working life more interesting. had social reject day last friday where we came to work decked out in our full nerd regalia: geeky specs, gelled comb-overs, pigtails - the whole works. today will be day 1 of project back-to-school, created by yours truly& aptly titled by jasmine lau.

on the downside, i think i'm coming down with the flu. ): have been sneezing nonstop and hacking my lungs out since i left work this morning. am hoping to recover asap before it sends me to the doctor's office because as much as i may nag you guys to visit a doctor when you're ill, i'm a girl who isn't exactly fond of practicing what she preaches. (i'm not being difficult, it's just the prospect of being jabbed with a fat syringe that puts me off.) in the meantime i'll just take to drinking enough fluids to flood venice (or whatever other low-lying places). go me!
